The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regards to the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The service level made for intervention experiences a large inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In website this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to empower the servicing of all prospects and maximize usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
